About

Where to start...after graduating from high school, I tried to join the Army, I wanted to be a helicopter pilot. I was not accepted due to a back problem, degenerative disc syndrome. So instead, I worked through a few different apprenticeship programs until I found one that suited me, carpentry. Working the trades was tough work, most of my 20+ years as a carpenter was doing heavy construction in New Orleans. So much for having a bad back! In 2005 hurricane Katrina devastated the place I had lived for the last 40 years. But this gave me the opportunity to start my own business and start doing the type of carpentry I really enjoyed. Just so you know, that is the more intricate detailed carpentry, trim work, cabinetry, milling, etc. I still do that type of work (in Texas now), but as retirement starts getting closer, I'm looking to something different. And that is where Halo Studios comes from.

Halo Studios started as my idea to sell my watercolor art but has morphed into an arts and crafts idea with the possibility of doing craft shows in the future. I have a lot of ideas for projects, so check back often, you never know what I'll be selling.
